The Vickie Pat-Sowe (VPS) Award is presented to women who are dedicated to the empowerment of women and girls, who are active participants in organizations that address the concerns of women and girls, demonstrate dedicated leadership among women's organization(s), and/or have founded or run programs that focus on women and girls.
The award is named in memory of Vickie Pat-Sowe who passed away from cancer in 2014.
Sharrnikya Howard is the founder of Life Abundantly Coaching where she provides purpose coaching to help women identify and walk boldly in their God-given purpose and career coaching to help women make informed decisions about their professional development and career trajectory.
Vickie Remoe is a PR and New Media Communications Specialist with 7 years of professional experience in business development and marketing. She is a Bill Gates Millennium Scholar with a B.A. Degree in Political Science from Haverford College in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Carol Labor is a recognized bi-lingual professional with advocacy, leadership, program design & implementation and strategic planning experience. Dr. Labor was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and moved to the United States at the age of 5.
